Irene Chittim

Irene E Chittim (Nee Quigley) Age 73 of Cascade

Passed away on Wednesday Morning, (Feb. 29, 2012) at the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice in Sheboygan Falls where she had been a resident for the past 7 days. She was born on February 28, 1939 in Winneconne, WI, a daughter of the late Leon and Helen (Crowley) Quigley. Irene graduated from Winneconne High School in 1957 and attended the University of Northern Colorado. On August 30, 1958 she married Boyd Chittim in Aurora, Colorado. The couple resided in the Denver area and in 1965 moved to Wisconsin. She was secretary at the Cascade Elementary School for many years until her retirement. Irene loved sports and was a good athlete. She especially loved golf, but also downhill and x-c skiing, softball, bowling and anything related to water. She also loved to hike, travel, read books and party. Last but not least she loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a former member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Cascade. Irene belonged to the Quit Qui Oc 18 hole Golf League and played for the Bil-Mar Women’s softball team as well on the Bil-Mar Women’s bowling team.

Survivors include: her loving husband of 53 years, Boyd of Cascade Three children: Chris (Randy) Kolpin of Kiel Craig (Lisa) Chittim of Turlock, Ca. Katie Crofts of Sheboygan Five Grandchildren: Kate (Peter) Feider of New Holstein Kent (Amy) Kolpin of Cascade, Kelly Kolpin (fiancé: Jay Oberst) of Port Washington Cara (Richard) Chandler of Turlock, Ca. Carly Chittim (fiancé: Nick Brown) of Turlock, Ca. Three Great Grandchildren: Jack and Cole Feider and Emma Chandler. Four Sisters and Two Brothers She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends

Memorial Services will be held Sunday Afternoon, (March 4) at 4:00 p.m. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Father Richard Cerpich will officiate. Cremation has taken place. Friends may call at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth from 1:00 P.M. on Sunday until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in her name.
