Marjorie M.

Marjorie M. “Margie” Hasenstein, age 55 of Town of Sheboygan, passed away late Thursday Evening, (May 30th), at her home surrounded by her loving family after a nine month battle with cancer.

She was born on May 16, 1958 in Sheboygan, WI, a daughter of Wilbert and Marguerite Monahan Buhler.

She attended and graduated from Random Lake High School in 1976. She then attended Lakeshore Technical College graduating with a degree as a Dental Assistant.

On October 4, 1980 she married Douglas “Doug” Hasenstein at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Sheboygan. They resided in Sheboygan area since their marriage.

Margie held numerous positions at the Kohler Company as well as working for the Sheboygan Area School District in food service at Jackson Elementary for ten years. She was a hallmark card specialist since 2008 at the Walgreen’s stores in Sheboygan.

Margie was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Sheboygan and was best known for her organizational skills and service to others. She was very involved with Bethlehem Church and School serving on P.T.L., Youth Group, Library, MOPS, Packer Project which she ran for a number of years, Early Childhood Ministry and was still very active in the school even after kids graduated. She was very active at the Lutheran High School serving on the committee for the concession stand, Auction and Harvest Fest and the “ team mom” for the Track and Cross Country Teams.

Margie enjoyed baking, sewing, gardening, reading and was a very dedicated care giver to her parents and her special companion: Molly.

Survivors include her loving husband: Doug of Town of Sheboygan; Three sons: Sean of UW-Stout, Tyler of UW – Milwaukee and Nathan at home; Her parents: Wilbert and Marguerite Buhler of Cascade; Three brothers: David (Karla) Buhler of Sheboygan, John Buhler of Cedar Grove and Robert (Debbie) Buhler of Sherwood, WI ; Two brothers-in-law: Brian (Jackie) Hasenstein of Sheboygan and Michael Hasenstein of Sheboygan; Nieces and Nephews: Erin, Katie (Her husband: Mike), Jamie, Sierra, Savannah, Ben, Jason (His wife: Rachael), Holly (Fiancé: Dieter), Zach, Casey, Ethan; One great niece: Hailey. Also survived by other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday Morning, (June 4th) at 11:00 A.M. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. Rev. Alan Kubow and Rev. James Hartman will co-officiate. Cremation will take place following the services.

Friends may call at the CHURCH on Monday, (June 3rd), from 3 – 8 P.M. and on Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Margie’s name for her three son’s education. The Suchon Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Plymouth is serving her family. For online condolences, please visit

The family would like to send special thanks to Dr. Max Haid and his nurse, Andrea, and the staff at Vince Lombardi Cancer Center, the staff on 2K and ER at Aurora Memorial Hospital, Visiting and Hospice nurses, 3rd floor staff at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, especially Dr. Wapples, Special friends: Deanna Maxon and Mary Kress for all their extra special care and love given to her when she was at home.
