James R.Dean Age 70 of 585 Sunset Maple Sheboygan Falls Passed away Wednesday morning (June 24) at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan where he had been a patient for the last 8 days. He was born on January 4, 1939 in Sheboygan, WI, a son of the late Robert and Delores Emley Dean. James attended Batavia Grade School and attended Random Lake High School. He served in the United States Army from 1957 – 1960. On April 8, 1961 he married Jean Frauenheim at Zion Methodist Church in Batavia. The couple has resided in Sheboygan Falls since 2007.
James worked for Power Products in Grafton for many years and in 1984 he bought his own semi and was self employed as over the road truck driver until 1996 when he worked for Klemm Tank Lines in Green Bay, retiring in 2004, but continued working part-time with them until 2009. He was a member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ in Sheboygan. James was a former member of the Waubeka Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle and spending time on his computer. Survivors include his wife: Jean of Sheboygan Falls His children Jeri (Lonny) Schirmer of Plymouth James E. Dean of Random Lake Four grandchildren: Samantha & James C. “J.C.” Dean Nickolas & Matthew Schirmer Three step grandchildren One sister Judy Maechtle of Fredonia One cousin John (Claire) Emley of Plymouth Two sisters-in-law Janice (David Hirsch) Frauenheim of Marshfield Beverly (Paul) Kultgen of Random Lake Also survived by nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by two brothers: David Emley; Dan Dean, step-father: Joe Funk; and his father and mother-in-law: Edward and Viola Frauenheim.
Following James wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Monday Evening at 5:00 P.M .at Ebenezer United Church of Christ, 3215 Saemann Ave., Sheboygan. Rev. Roger Mealiff, pastor of the church will officiate. Inurnment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Town of Sheboygan. Friends may call at the CHURCH on Monday afternoon from 3:00 P.M. until the time of services. A Memorial fund is being established in James’ name.
