Beverly Jane Skelton, age 90, of Cascade, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening (August 2, 2017) at Anita’s Gardens in Plymouth.

She was born in Milwaukee on August 17, 1926, daughter of the late John and Elsie (Melius) Siebenaler.

Bev attended grade school in Batavia and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1944.
She worked at the Milwaukee Athletic Club, and also during war time at Specialty Metals in Milwaukee. Bev later worked at A&P – Bordens in Plymouth, retiring in 1988.

On September 25, 1948, she married John H. Skelton at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Cascade. The couple resided in Cascade following their marriage. John preceded her in death on April 2, 1985.

Bev was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Cascade. She was also a member of the Cascade Dinosaurs Club.

During her time at Anita’s Garden in Plymouth, she became known as the “First Lady of Samuel Suites.”

She enjoyed cards, reading, watching celebrity gossip shows like: Entertaiment Tonight, the Tonight Show, and Music Awards shows (especially country music). She also enjoyed crossword puzzles. Newspapers in the house were always folded to the daily crossword puzzle and every square was filled in. Bev loved any kind of puzzle or mind game and was still good at them, even at age 90. Her timeless curiosity and her feisty personality made each visit with her unique and fun. She will be greatly missed.

Brad) Bina of Chicago, IL, and Jason (Ashton) Rentmeester of Slinger, WI; and Six great-grandchildren: Lauren, Taylor, Cooper, Ellie, Brinley, and Ezra.

Beverly is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by: Her husband: John H.; Sister: Dorothy (John) De Groff; Brother-in-law: Jerome (Mildred) Skelton; and Sister-in-law: Mary (John) Mason.

Following Beverly’s wishes, cremation has taken place and private family services will be held at a later date.

The family would like to send special thanks to the wonderful and caring staff at Anita’s Gardens
in Plymouth and the Heartland Hospice for the care and compassion given to Bev.
