Dowaine Dean Koepp, age 82, of Random Lake, passed away on Sunday (February 26, 2017) at the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice Facility in Sheboygan Falls, with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Colorado on October 25, 1934, son of the late Wallace and Loal (Cross) Koepp.
Dowaine grew up in Belgium, WI and graduated from Port Washington High School in 1953.
He served in the United States Army from 1957-1959.
On May 18, 1957, he married Janice Luckow at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Port Washington.
Dowaine worked at Tecumseh in Grafton for 46 years, retiring in 2000.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls. Dowaine loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed barefoot waterskiing (he won the national championship of the senior division in 1980), bowling in many leagues, and playing tennis.
Survivors include: His loving wife: Janice of Random Lake; Four children: Steven (Laura) Koepp of Random Lake, David Koepp of Oshkosh, Kristine (Don) Goedde of Random Lake, and Karen (Nick) Stoianov of Redondo Beach, CA; Eleven grandchildren; Five great-granchildren; Two sisters: Nona (Ken) Brookbank of Oregon, WI and Pat (Frank) Kreif of Waubeka; and One brother: Art (Carol) Koepp of Grafton.
He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Dowaine was preceded in death by: His parents; Father and mother-in-law: Ray and Esther Luckow; Brother-in-law: Wallace Luckow; and Sister-in-law: Darleen Luckow.
Following Dowaine’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday (March 4, 2017) at 2:30 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Rev. Tom Gudmunson, Pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church - Sheboygan Falls, will officiate.
Visitation will take place on Saturday (March 4) at the Suchon Funeral Home from 12:30 P.M. until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Dowaine’s name are suggested to the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.
