Obituary for Gerald C. Strebe

Gerald C. “Jerry” Strebe, age 80, of Sheboygan Falls, WI, passed away early Saturday Evening (June 10, 2017) at Columbia/ St. Mary’s Hospital in Grafton.

He was born on November 4, 1936 in Laona, WI, son of the late Clyde and Bernice (Pacourek) Strebe.

Jerry served in the United States Marine Corps from 1954-1955.

On February 13, 1960 he married Joanne Cook in Loyal, WI. The couple has resided in Sheboygan Falls area since 1969.

He was employed at the Kohler Company for 32 years before retiring in 1999.

Jerry was an avid reader of Non-Fiction books; he loved tinkering in his work shop and was an all
around handy man and could fix anything.

Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years: Joanne of Sheboygan Falls; Five children: Patricia Berceau (special friend: Bill Hanson) of Oconto, WI, Cynthia (Scott) Spradau of Cascade, Jeffrey (Tammy) Strebe of Sheboygan, Jacqueline (Richard) Schilling of Chippewa Falls, Dean Strebe (special friend: Brenda Davies) of Sheboygan Falls; Ten grandchildren: Wade Berceau, Tara Berceau, Laura (Alex) Notz, Jacob Berceau, Amanda Wassilus (special friend: Brent Rosenberger), Ryan Wassilus, Adam Strebe, Alysa Strebe (Fiancé: Tyler Racine), Justin (April) Schmidt, Andrew Schilling (Fiancée: Janette Rogers); Four step-grandchildren; Six great-grandchildren; Three step great-grandchildren; Four brothers: Dale (Janice) Strebe of Marshfield, Ronald (Jeanne) Strebe of Shawano, James Strebe of Stevens Point, Galen (Shannon) Strebe of Madison and two sisters-in-law: Jean Strebe of Marshfield and Nancy Strebe of Dousman.

He is also survived by many brother and sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; Three brothers; Duane, Allen, and Russell Strebe; and Two sisters: Marlene (Lyle) Cathcart and Virginia Dupee.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday evening (June 16, 2017) at 6:00 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Rev. Tom Fleischmann will officiate. Cremation will take place following Services.

Visitation will be held on Friday at Suchon Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. until the time of Services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Jerry’s name.

The Plymouth VFW World Cheese Post # 5612 will conduct Military Rites following the services.
