Obituary for Harvey E. "Harv" Bowe

Harvey E. “Harv” Bowe, age 74, of Random Lake, WI, passed away late Saturday evening (August 19, 2017) at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice in Sheboygan Falls after a courageous 10 month battle with brain cancer.

He was born on December 30, 1942 in Milwaukee, WI, a son of the late Elmer and Virginia (Banetzke) Bowe and was raised at an early age by the late Germaine (Didier) Bowe.

Harv graduated from Waldo high School in 1960.

On November 30, 1963 he married Agnes Mae “Aggie” O’Malley at St. Fridolin Catholic Church in Glenbeulah. The couple resided in Random Lake for the past 14 years.

Harv was employed at the Masco Company in Milwaukee for 24 years and owned and operated Harv’s River Inn in Waubeka for 13 years.

He was a former member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth and was a current member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Random Lake.

He was also a member of Carter Creek Sportsmens Club and the Wisconsin Wildlife Association.

Harv was an avid outdoors man and enjoyed bow hunting, turkey hunting, and gun hunting. He loved going on vacation, camping and soaking up the sun with his wife and children and their families. He also loved watching the Green Bay Packers and spending time with family and friends and he had a heart of gold.

Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years: Aggie; Four children: Leonard (Lisa) Bowe of Plymouth, Sandra (Mike) Sinks of Minong, James (Lisa) Bowe of Racine, Rebecca (Kevin) Risch of Cedar Grove; Nine grandchildren: Kristin, Melissa, Matthew (Kendelle), Hannah (Todd), Jacob, Logan, Mckenna, Reed and Nathan; Seven great-grandchildren; Three sisters: Bonnie Mikkelson of Oshkosh, Diane (Eric) Kiehl of Muskego, Misti DeNoble of Milwaukee; and Four brothers: Louis (Kathy) Bowe of Kiel, Mike (Molly) Bowe of Newburg, Steve Bowe of Madison, and Neal (Claire) Bowe of Texas.

He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Two brothers: Leonard Bowe and Bobby Tate; One sister: Renae Grieger; and his two canine companions Bob and Lefty.

Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday Evening (August 24, 2017) at 6:00 P.M. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. Father Philip Reifenberg, Pastor of the Church will officiate. Cremation will take place following Services.

Visitation will take place at the CHURCH on Thursday (August 24) from 3:00 P.M. until the time of Services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Harv’s name.
