Obituary for Jeannette H. Sasse

Jeannette H. Sasse, age 92, of Sheboygan, WI, passed away late Saturday afternoon (November 18, 2017) at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan.

She was born on November 3, 1925 in Eden, WI, a daughter of the late Earl and Cecelia (Kern) Nelson.

Jeannette attended Joliet and Rathbun Grade Schools and graduated from Glenbeulah High School in 1943.

She worked at Cleveland Container, Electric Sprayit, Lakeland Mfg. and National Tinsel Co. in Sheboygan.

On July 14, 1948 she married Howard Sasse at St. George Parish in Elkhart Lake. The couple resided in Plymouth since their marriage. Her husband preceded her in death on September 10, 2006.

Jeannette was currently a member of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Sheboygan and was a former member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth and belonged to St. John the Baptist Mission Society Quilters and the Christian Women Society. She also was a member of the Rosary Society
In McHenry, Illinois.

Jeannette enjoyed needlework, reading and doing crossword, jigsaw and logic puzzles.

She was very proud that she collected her own library with many books.

Survived by: Two daughters: Vicki Krueger (Robert Fenner) of Sheboygan, Nancy Neumann of Lakemoor, IL; Two grandchildren: Kimberly Krueger of Largo, FL, Macaulay Krueger of Sheboygan; Two sisters: Doris (Norman) Nickel of Fond du Lac, LaVerne Balthazor of Mesa, AZ; One brother: James (Lisa) Nelson of Plymouth; One brother-in-law: Marvin Sorens of Sheboygan Falls; and One sister-in-law: Nancy Nelson of Marshfield, WI.

She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband; One grandson: Keith Krueger Jr.; One son-in-law: James Neumann; One brother: Robert Nelson; One sister: Vera Sorens; and One brother-in-law: Al Balthazor.

Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday Morning (November 22, 2017) at 11:30 A.M. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. Father Philip Reifenberg, Pastor of the Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday (Nov. 22) at the CHURCH from 9:30 A.M. until the time of Mass.

A rosary will be held at 11:00 A.M. for Jeannette.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Jeannette’s name for St. Lawrence Seminary.
