Obituary for Josephine 'Jo' Peterson

Josephine “Jo” Peterson (nee Sondrol), age 89, of Plymouth, passed away Friday Morning (February 17, 2017) at the Atrium in Plymouth.
Josephine was born on October 18, 1927 in Northwood, Iowa, daughter of the late John O and Selma (Flattum) Sondrol.
She worked as a nurses aid for 17 years, working at Samaritan Home and Rocky Knoll.
She married Richard Peterson on February 14, 1963 at Superior, Wl. He preceded her in death on December 3, 2003
The couple lived at several job sites before moving to Hartford, West Bend and Greenbush areas until 1990 when they moved to Salem Green Apartments in Plymouth.
Josephine enjoyed sewing, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by two sons: Andrew (Sharon) Remiger of Hartford and Leo Remiger of Anchorage, Alaska; One daughter: Kristy Rayner of Denver, CO; Three grandsons: John Rayner Jr. (Amber) of Rapid City, SD, Joseph Rayner of Rapid City, SD, Andrew Rayner of Denver, CO; One great granddaughter: Kathryn Rayner; One sister: Carol Prosser of Port Washington, WI. She is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sons: Lloyd Remiger and Scott Peterson.
The family is caring out Josephine's wishes that she be cremated and no services of any kind be held, only living memories.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Josephine’s name.
