Obituary for Ronald G. Pfister

Ronald G. “Ronnie” Pfister, age 77, of Hingham, WI, passed away early Thursday Morning (June 1, 2017) in the company of his caring wife at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.

He was born on October 3, 1939 in Sheboygan, WI, son of the late Gottlieb and Rita (Stone) Pfister.

Ronnie graduated from Goodrich High School in Fond du Lac, WI, in 1958.

He served in the United States Navy from 1958 to 1962, serving in the Cuban Missile Crisis.

On October 28, 1967 he married Marilyn Zillner at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Sheboygan. The couple resided in Sheboygan after their marriage and for the last 17 years in Hingham.

He was employed at the Kohler Company for 33 years.

Ronnie is a member at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth.

He was a coffee connoisseur, loved to fish, and enjoyed being a Grandpa.

Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years: Marilyn of Hingham; Five children: Wendy (Michael) Loomans of Hingham, Mia Weiler of Santa Fe, NM, Amy (Ted) Truex of Plymouth, Edward (Brooke) Pfister of Cedarburg, Mara Pfister of Hingham; Seven grandchildren: Samuel, Benjamin, Jonah, and David Loomans, Grayer and Tripp Pfister, and Thora Carpenter; Three sisters: Marcia Cook of Florida, Faye (Gary) Konen of Kiel, Sonya Pfister of Texas; and Four sisters-in-law: Jeanie Paulson of Sheboygan, Kathy (Wayne) Shiflet of Macon, GA, Audrey Louise (Robert) Lettre of Sheboygan, and Beverly Pfister of Sheboygan.

He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents; One granddaughter: Johanna Loomans; Three brothers: Jack, Wayne, and James Pfister; and Two sisters-in-law: Barbara Pfister and Barbara Zillner.

Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday Afternoon (June 8, 2017) at 1:00 P.M. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. Father Dennis Van Beek will officiate. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the CHURCH from 12:00 Noon until the time of Services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Ronnie’s name.

Plymouth VFW World Cheese Post 5612 will conduct Military Rites at the Parish Cemetery following the Services at the Church.

The family would like to send a special thanks to the Doctors and Staff at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center for all your care and compassion given to Ronnie.
