Obituary for Sally Barber

Sally Barber (aka Mom, Sally Wally, Sally Sue, Silly Sally and Sweet Sally) left this world a better place than she found it, on February 24, 2018. Sally would have blessed the world for 67 years on Tuesday, February 27th, and the world is a little darker without her.

Many of her favorite people: son, Brian Barber; grandchildren, Kody and Alex; second son, Reuben Swann; siblings, Bill Barber, Barry Barber, Linda Peppers, twin sister Vicki (Ron) Thomas, and Laurie (Jerry) Barber Radcliffe; and her loving friends: Jill, Joy, Dar, Ann and Stephanie were able to spend time with her the last few days, and would like everyone to know her heart was full, she was happy with the life she lived, and she will be pleased to be with her mom and dad (Norman and Lucile (Mueller) Barber) again. Nothing mattered more to Sally than family and friends, and her cats.

Sally still had many friends from Glenbeulah Grade School and Elkhart Lake High School and even more from her 40+ years with Bemis Manufacturing Company. Her heart was huge, and her memory will be eternal. Always thinking of others and their feelings, Sally requested no memorial service or visitation. A memorial fund will be established in her name, because it’s the best way the rest of us could think of to celebrate this amazing woman we were fortunate enough to know and love.

Sally was a world traveler, who enjoyed adventures (like white water rafting) and horses. We like to imagine her riding into the sunset on yet another amazing trip – and always smiling, with love in her very soft heart.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Wolfert, Dr. Parikh, and the staff at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice Center for all the care and compassion given to Sally. The service they provide is so difficult and so appreciated.

We love you Sally. Ride free and strong again. You will be with us always.
