Obituary for Vynita M Guenther

Vynita M. “Needy” Guenther, age 94, of Batavia, died peacefully Tuesday, April 18, 2017.

She was born August 3, 1922, a daughter of the late Anton and Ella (Neitchke) Goehring. She grew up in Silver Creek.

In 1949 she married Irving Guenther. Together they ran the dairy farm near Batavia until retiring in 1979. Vynita enjoyed being outside, gardening, and taking walks.

She was a long time member of the Zion United Methodist Church in Batavia and would help out with the Office of Aging.

Vynita was a loving grandmother and always looked forward to times spent with her two grandsons Jason and Barrett.

Survivors include her daughter: Debra (Bruce) Davids of Bartlett, IL; Two grandsons: Jason (Sharon) Davids of Kirkland, IL, and Barrett (Joyce) Davids of Naperville, IL; Three great-grandchildren: Rhiannon, Grant, and Ella Davids; One sister: Violet (Ralph) May of St. Germaine, WI.

She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Vynita was preceded in death by her husband: Irving; one son: Steven; one sister: Marcy (Dan) Stieglbauer; four brothers: Edgar (Ida), Floyd (Lorraine), Alton, Leroy (Gloria); one brother-in-law: Arlyn (Helen) Guenther.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday (April 29, 2017) at Zion United Methodist Church in Batavia. Rev. Hap Itson will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Zion United Methodist Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the CHURCH on Saturday (Apr. 29) from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services.
