Joanne Margaret Harry, age 86, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday (December 21, 2018) at Pine Haven Christian Home in Sheboygan Falls, where she had been a resident for the last 3 years.

She was born on November 16, 1932 in Deerbrook, WI, daughter of the late Rev. Martin and Lenora (Gutekunst) Schneider.

With her father being a Pastor, the family moved around to different cities. Joanne attended grade schools in Deerbrook and Shawano, and graduated from Hilbert High School.

Her dream had always been to become a nurse, so following high school Joanne attended the Bellin School of Nursing in Green Bay, graduating in 1953.

Joanne was always involved in her children’s activities. She and Bob were very involved with the youth marching group “The Accents,” which all of their children participated in. They travelled coast to coast to compete in parades and drill competitions.

In her retirement, she enjoyed taking the motorhome to Bentsen Grove Resort in Mission, TX with Bob’s brother and his wife. She also enjoyed sewing and stitchery, singing and playing piano, collecting roosters, and attending her grandchildren’s concerts and sporting events.

Joanne is survived by her four children; Lois (Mike) McHenry of Random Lake, Robert II “Chip” (Debbie) Harry of Sheboygan, Barb (Craig) Momberg of Hingham, and Janet (Steve) Kramer of Sheboygan Falls; son-in-law, Jack Lippold (Sandy) of Jackson, WI; Seven grandchildren; Robert III “BJ” (Heidi) Harry of Random Lake, Sarah Schroeder (friend Darius Davis) of Sheboygan, Emilee (Jake) Schultz of Sheboygan, Stacee (Ben) Steiner of Port Washington, Chelsea (Matthew) Williams of Lacombe, Alberta, Canada, Mike Schroeder (friend Alyssa Hobart) of Sheboygan, and Kaylyn Fischer (fiancé Nicholas Patton) of Luxemburg, WI; Four great-grandchildren; Olivia and Greyson Harry and Baby Schultz and Baby Steiner .

She is further survived by her brother; James Schneider of Albuquerque, NM; sister-in-law; Laura Schneider of Alabama; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
