Obituary for Virginia M. "Ginny" Halloran

Virginia M. “Ginny” Halloran (nee Treichel), age 93, of Plymouth,WI, passed away on Sunday (December 30, 2018) at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.

Ginny was born to the late Benjamin and Leona (Lambie-Dexheimer) Treichel in Kaukauna, WI on July 3, 1925.

She attended Kimberly High School.

Ginny married T/Sgt. Norman C. Halloran on November 27, 1948 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Kimberly, WI. After their marriage she joined her husband in Germany and this allowed her to be able to travel in Europe for several years. She enjoyed almost 12 years of military life as an Air Force Sergeant’s wife until Norm retired in 1960. After returning to the United States they were able to continue traveling through 44 of 50 states.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth and was a member of the Christian Women Society in the church. She enjoyed playing cards with her canasta group, her afternoon card/wine club, making puzzles, and volunteering at St. Vincent DePaul for over 20 years. She was also a Girl Scout leader and health room volunteer in the grade school. Her greatest joy though was her family and being able to watch them grow up. Her family will always remember her unique photography skills.

Ginny is survived by: Her husband of 70 years: Norman C. Halloran; Children: Sharon (Charles) Brott, Patricia (Bruce) Michaels, Dennis (Kathy) Halloran, Nancy Halloran, Daniel (Lisa) Halloran and Julia (Michael) Niver.

Further survived by 12 Grandchildren: Christopher (Jen) Michaels, Jacob (Shannon) Brott, Angela (Michael) Kalsbeek, Cheryl (Alejandro) Lezema, Rebecca (Michael) Ludington, Katie (Cory) Bruckner, Carrie (Chad) Krahn, Sara (Justin) Rosenthal, David (Sara) Halloran, Ryan Halloran, Sean Halloran and Adam Niver; 22 Great Grandchildren: Evan, Alyssa, Maxwell, River, Hunter, Alejandro, Thomas, Nikko, Zoe, Christian, Abby, Nickolas, Kiefer, Eli, Sydney, Izzie, Cody, Carly, Kaden, Gabriel, Bryce and Cora; Sister: Janet (Jerry) VanBoxtel; Brother: Ronald (Alena) Treichel and her Brother-in-law: Stanley (Clo)Nahnsen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Ruth Dexheimer, Phyllis (Martin) Awishus, Dorothy (Ed) Cook, and Nancy Nahnsen, her Brothers: Carl (Shirley) Treichel and Robert (Ramona) Treichel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday (January 4, 2019) at 12:30 P.M. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. Father Dennis Van Beek, will officiate. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.

Visitation will take place at the CHURCH on Friday (Jan. 4) from 10:30 A.M. until the time of Mass.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in her name.
