Obituary for Julianna V. Perkovich

Julianna V. “Julie” Perkovich, age 66, of Cascade, WI passed away early Thursday morning (March 10, 2016) surrounded by her loving family at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee following complications of cancer.
Julie was born on November 20, 1949 in Sheboygan, WI, a daughter of the late John and Margaret (Kutsho) Perkovich.
She attended Adell Grade School and graduated from Random Lake High School in 1967. Julie continued her education by attending Cardinal Stritch College in Milwaukee graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics.
She married Ralph Scheel in St. Louis, MO.
Julie started working in 1992 at the Sheboygan County Head Start Program in Sheboygan and took over the Directors position in 1996, which she currently held.
She was a member of the Plymouth Intergenerational Center and enjoyed camping, gardening, caring for her apple trees, crocheting, cooking, baking and spending time with her loving sons.
Survivors include: Two sons: Evan Perkovich (Partner: Mike Somers) of Cascade and Matthew Perkovich of Cascade. One aunt: Mary Marczak of Industry, PA; Cousins: Tom Marczak of Green Bay, WI, Rose Onuska (Marczak) of Industry, PA and Stanley Marczak Jr. of Grantsburg, WI.
She was preceded in death by her parents, many aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
Following Julie’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial service will be held on Friday evening (March 18, 2016) at 7:00 P.M. at Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Father Wayne Bittner will officiate.
Visitation will be held at Suchon Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. on Friday until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Julie’s name.
