Obituary for Raymond John Rediske

Raymond John Rediske, age 91, of Plymouth, WI, passed away on Thursday evening (March 22, 2018) at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center in Plymouth.

He was born on June 4, 1926 in Westgate, Iowa, a son of the late Ernest and Anna (Heller) Rediske.

Raymond served in the United States Army from 1944-1946 and the United States Marines from 1953-1956. He was awarded many medals including the Bronze Star.

On December 27, 1958 he married Ione Kramer at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth.

He worked as a warehouse foreman at Stokley Van Camp-Cannery for 30 years until his retirement.

Raymond was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth.

He was an avid deer and squirrel hunter. His passion in life was caring for his family and home and loved working out in his yard and caring for all his flowers that he grew.

Survived by: His loving wife: Ione of Plymouth; Daughter: Gail (Tom) Harris of Plymouth; One Sister: Renatta Mackenzie of Oshkosh; Two Sisters-in-law: Gladys Allwardt of Port Washington, WI, and Vera Theummler of Elkhart Lake; and One Brother-in-law: Harvey Kramer of Kenosha.

He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Two Brothers: Grant Rediske and Bill Rediske; and One Sister: Eileen Athey.

Following Raymond’s wishes private family services will be held and entombment will take place at the Garden of Peace Mausoleum in the Town of Sheboygan.

A memorial fund is being established in Raymond’s name.
